Pears are very nutritious and include lots of dietary fiber. One serving of the juice will provide almost half of the daily value of vitamin C which is great for the immune system.
If you have too many pears in your kitchen and donβt want them to go to waste, then you can make homemade pear juice!
Fresh pear juice is an absolute treat with a lovely delicate and sweet flavor. You can use almost any type of ripe pear in this recipe. Iβll share how to make it using either a juice or a blender.
Why You Need This Recipe
- Pear juice is a healthy beverage that is also a great way to use up extra pears before they go bad.
- Skip the canned or boxed juice drinks and make your own! Iβll show you how to do it in a juicer or a blender. The sweet fruit is all you need for pears juice; no added sugar is necessary.
- This recipe is very versatile. You can use just pears, but I like to use other ingredients including the apples and ginger to make a very flavorful seasonal juice blend.
Equipment Needed
Blender or Juicer
It’s easy to use either piece of equipment. It just depends which you have on hand! I’ll share instructions for using either a vertical vegetable juicer or a blender.
Key Ingredients
- Pears – You can use any type of ripe pear variety for your juice. Or, try selecting different varieties to have different flavors.
- Apples – use your choice of red or green apple for this recipe. Or, check out my list of apples for juicing.
- Lemon Juice – Lemon juice helps balance the natural sugars in the pear juice and helps preserve its pretty color.
- Ginger – I love adding fresh ginger to almost any type of juice, and it really elevates the flavor of this one, adding some tang.
