Sparkling Kombucha Lemonade Recipe
On a hot day, there’s nothing more refreshing than a cold glass of Sparkling Kombucha Lemonade. This fermented and naturally fizzy beverage is delicious and so easy to make. Let me show you how to make this drink in less than 10 minutes.
Lemonade is a classic summertime beverage, but have you ever thought about trying Kombucha Lemonade? It’s a healthy upgrade that takes almost no effort at all.
With just a few ingredients, you can have yourself a naturally fizzy drink that is a great balance of sweet and tart. Summertime drinks have never been this yummy!

- The fizzy or bubbly aspect of kombucha is actually from the fermentation process, where healthy bacteria grows and multiplies in the tea. This means that kombucha is a source of natural probiotics.

- This sparkling summertime drink is so easy to make. If you are using bottled kombucha, you’ll need a 16 ounce bottle for 4 servings.
- You’ll also need freshly-squeezed lemon juice and a liquid sweetener.
- I like the GT’s brand, but there are many, many excellent bottled kombuchas that you can buy at the store. Look for kombucha in the refrigerated beverage section of your local grocery story.

🍋 Recipe Steps
Step One
Pour the kombucha into a serving pitcher. You can use a lemonade flavored kombucha, or just plain. The flavored versions tend to be a bit sweeter, but it’s a personal preference.
Ginger kombucha is also a nice flavor to pair with the lemon juice. Feel free to get creative with the flavor of kombucha you use.

Step Two
Next, stir in the lemon juice and maple syrup. Depending on how sweet the kombucha is, you can add anywhere from 2 tablespoons to 1/4 cup of maple syrup, or your favorite liquid sweetener. Stir the ingredients together.
Step Three
Lastly, add the ice to the pitcher, and serve.

- If your kombucha is not very sweet, then you may need to add up to 1/4 cup of maple syrup. Taste it first to see if you need more sweetness.
- You can use cane sugar instead of maple syrup, but you will need to dissolve it in hot water first.

- Fresh mint is another way to dress up your kombucha lemonade. You can either muddle it in the pitcher or just use it for serving.

Kombucha usually has a small amount of sugar in it. Check the nutrition label of what brand you are using for the sugar content. You don’t have to add extra sugar if you don’t want to.

- 16–ounces bottled or homemade kombucha
- 2 lemons, juiced (about 1/4 to 1/3 cup of lemon juice)

- In a large pitcher, combine the kombucha, lemon juice, maple syrup, and ice. Stir to combine.
